Ab11 Chord

Ab11 (A flat 11th chord)

Like any 11th chord, the Ab11 chord is formed by playing the root, the major third, the perfect fifth, the minor 7th, the major 9th and the major 11th. The third is often omitted due to dissonance with the minor 9th interval. It equals to playing the 1st, the 3rd and 5th, the flat 7th and the 9th and the 11th degree of the Ab major scale.
