Dmaj9 Chord
Like any maj9th chord, the Dmaj9 chord is a maj7th chord with an added 9. It is formed by playing the root, the major third, the perfect fifth, the major 7th and the major 9th. That equals to playing the 1st, the 3rd and 5th, the 7th and the 9th degree of the D major scale.
